This includes: financial reporting, invoicing, cash management, accounts receivable management, financial compliance oversight (effort reporting, cost transfers, unallowable expenses), and audit support. Statistics for fiscal year 2021-2022 relating to research expenditures, financial deliverables, and payments collected for sponsored projects are as follows:
Total research expenditures incurred for sponsored projects were $1.36 billion. 62.1% of total expenditures were for Federally sponsored projects, followed by State & Other Government projects at 13.5%.
Financial Deliverables represent invoices and financial reports of which EFM satisfied a total of 15,927. EFM collected $1.338 billion in payments from sponsors. 11,360 payments were received in the form of checks, wire, ACH, EFTs draws for LOC funds.
