The effort reports for the Fall 2015 and Winter 2016 quarters are now available in the Effort Reporting System. You can access your department’s effort reports and begin the certification process. The certification deadline is Friday, July 29th, 2016. If you have outstanding effort reports from previous quarters, we ask that you continue to work on those as well.

Please remind your Principal Investigators that they are required to include committed cost sharing when certifying effort. Additionally, they must self-certify their own effort reports. All other effort reports can be certified by the Principal Investigator, the employee or an authorized certifier with first-hand knowledge of the employee’s effort.

Note: Unless an effort report status is “Certified” the report is considered “Open” and requires review and certification. Effort Reports with a “Not Required” status should be reviewed and verified to determine if effort or cost sharing should be reported.

SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING UC OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT EFFORT REPORTS:
With the advent of UC Path, UC Office of the President is temporarily transitioning to a manual reporting process beginning with the Fall 2015 effort report certifications. Staff can continue to view prior certifications through the UCLA ERS; however, instructions and procedures will be sent out to UCOP staff regarding how to complete their manual reporting going forward.

ERS notifications are sent to employees that are assigned the Coordinator’s function in DACSS and to employees that subscribed through the ERS Listserv. To subscribe to this mailing list: Send an email to: ers-subscribe@lists.ucla.edu (Subject and body of the e-mail can be blank).

For any questions, please contact ERS Support at ershelp@research.ucla.edu.

Thank You,
