This is a reminder that the certification deadline for the Spring and Summer 2013 quarters is about a month away. The certification deadline is Friday, February 7th, 2014. To ensure 100% certification, we strongly encourage all departments to log into ERS immediately and complete certifications before the deadline. You can access your department’s effort reports in the Effort Reporting System. If you need assistance please contact ERS help at ershelp@research.ucla.edu.
To remain in compliance, please remind your Principal Investigators to self-certify their own effort reports. All other effort reports may be certified by the Principal Investigator, the employee or an authorized certifier with first-hand knowledge of the employee’s effort.
If you have outstanding effort reports from previous quarters, please continue to work on those too.
Note: Unless an effort report status shows “Certified” the report is considered “open” and requires review and/or certification. Effort Reports with a “Not Required” status should be reviewed as well to determine if effort or cost sharing should be reported.
